Residential: trees, pools & containers
Palm trees, fiberglass pools, hot tubs, containers and tiny homes.
Independent referral service. Border Quotes is not a contractor and does not own equipment or employ crews. We connect you with independent local companies, who quote and do the work directly. This is lifting, not towing.
Homeowners and contractors across the Valley call for a crane when something has to go over the house or fence: tall palm trees going in or coming out, fiberglass pool shells, hot tubs, storage containers, sheds, tiny homes and backyard A/C equipment.
Useful numbers
- An empty 20-ft shipping container weighs roughly 5,000 lb and a 40-ft roughly 8,000 lb (check the tare weight painted on the door).
- Fiberglass pool shells and large hot tubs often weigh several thousand pounds — ask your pool company for the shipping weight.
- Large palms are heavy because of the root ball and wet trunk; your tree service can estimate the weight.
Before the crane arrives
- Clear the driveway or street spot where the crane will park; tell the company about HOA rules, gates and overhead lines.
- Sprinkler lines, septic tanks and soft lawns can be damaged by outriggers — mention them.
